Perfectly suiting the track spacing of 1,435mm, the customized 1,250mm finished drainage channels are adopted free of weak connection. The bearing grade reaches D400 to ensure the safety of driving and use.

Channel

The channel is made of polymer concrete, which has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The thickness of side wall is designed to be safe and reliable, with the maximum thickness of 47mm. Besides, the side wall is reinforced by built-in steel bars and formed in an integrated way.

Cover

Material and coating of cover

The ductile cast iron cover, with good ductility and corrosion resistance, is coated with the process different from the ordinary process.We use high quality KTL coating technology to achieve more beautiful surface treatment and ensure a more durable anti-rust effect

Cover safety

1.With splicing or welding edge different from the lowend, the channel and cover are securely connected by integral Z-section edge to ensure that they can withstand high impact from front and lateral direction.

2. Professional customized nut greatly enhances the overall shear resistance performance of the nut joint, and is equipped with anti-vibration loosening system

3.According to the requirements of EN1433 for the cover of Loading Class D400 or above, the cover is provided with anti-skid bump and anti-skid groove to eliminate the hidden danger of longitudinal displacement and even flying out.

Aesthetics and safety principle of two lengths of grille plate

Drainage channel is an important aspect to beautifying the tram. For this reason, MEA creatively proposed two grating cover lengths: 0.5m and 0.75m. The drainage  channel (1.25m) between the conventional rail gaps is no longer equipped with three grating covers, but two complete grating covers, one of which is 0.5m long and the other is 0.75m long. As a result, the longitudinal space between grilles is well controlled to improve visual continuity. Aesthetics should not affect safety. The combination of these two modes ensures that each grating cover used is locked by 4-point nuts without considering the length of drainage pipe, thus avoiding the inconvenience of traditional fixing system (for central bolt fixing mode).

Joining with tracks

Through our rich experience in participating in many tram lines at home and abroad, we provide two schemes of metal connection water collecting box and rubber connection water collection box suitable for domestic modern tram drainage

1. Track groove hole for smooth drainage

2.The metal water collecting box is equipped with insulation system to ensure the safety of track power supply

3.The drainage channel between tracks and the drainage channel across the track shall be connected with the drainage channel beside the rail

4.Two kinds of materials, polymer concreteand stainless steel end plate, for safe and reliable connection and sealing mode

5.Two kinds of cross-section, namely circular and semicircular connecting pipes are provided to ensure convenient installation and drainage capacity
