Project background:
Nansha Bridge, formerly known as Humen No.2 Bridge, is a sea crossing bridge connecting Nansha District of Guangzhou City and Shatian Town of Dongguan City in Guangdong Province, China. It is located over the Shiziyang waters of the Pearl River and is the western part of Guangzhou-Longchuan Expressway. It is another world-class bridge project in the Pearl River delta after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. The total length of the bridge is 12.891 km; the bridge deck is a two-way eight-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 km/h.
