What is polymer concrete?
MEA polymer concrete consists of raw materials such as selected quartz sand, special unsaturated resins, as well as curing agents specially mixed, and molded by one-time injection via a fixed mold after they are mixed.
Due to the optimized ratio of the raw materials and the advanced production technology, MEA polymer concrete has excellent performance:
  • 1.Its bending strength is more than 22N/mm2 and its compressive strength is more than 90N/mm2, and they are more than 6 times those of ordinary concrete C25.
  • 2.The roughness of its water passing surface is about 25 μm, and its water passing capacity is 1.6 times that of the ordinary concrete.
  • 3.It has high corrosion resistance, suitable for the discharge of various chemical waste liquid.
  • 4.Without water molecules and water permeability and with high freezing resistance, it is suitable for cold areas at -50℃.
  • 5.Fire resistance rating: Class B1 (fire-resistance construction materials), with good flame-retardation effects.
  • 6.Rapid prototyping: Rapid shaping within 15 minutes, suitable for modular production
  • Environmental friendliness: Its production process is environmentally-friendly, in which no waste gas or liquid is discharged, and all raw materials are environmentally-friendly.
Disadvantages of cast-in-place concrete linear drainage system
With the large excavated volume for construction, formwork is necessarily erected in the cast-in-place concrete linear drainage system, resulting in complicated construction, high labor cost, and being difficult to control its overall quality.
Due to the rough surface, it has poor water passing capacity, easy to deposit wastes
It is not suitable for the discharge of chemical waste liquid or highly corrosive liquid, easy to pollute the soil in large areas
Due to the existence of aqueous materials, it is easy to damage by frost heaving in cold areas, and thus it has the disadvantages of short service life and high maintenance cost.
Due to the complicated construction process, it also has the disadvantages of long construction period, high labor cost, severely affected by weather factors.
With heavy pollution and high energy consumption during cement production, natural environment such as clean water and green mountains is destroyed.
The grating is not provided with a reliable locking system, affecting the safety of passengers and vehicles, and easy to dislocate and cause noise.
Advantages of polymer concrete drainage system
Under the same load-bearing requirements, its excavated volume and channel section are small, and no formwork is erected.
Due to the smooth surface and strong water passing capacity, its section size is smaller under the same water discharge, and its construction is economical and convenient.
It can be widely used for discharging various liquid, without leakage risks.
With high freezing resistance, it is suitable for cold areas, and has the long service life without the frost splitting risk.
Due to its modular production in the factory and on-site installation of finished products, it is quickly constructed, saved in labor cost, and less affected by weather factors.
Its production process is clean and environmentally-friendly, preserving ecological environment.
The cover is provided with a safe and reliable locking system without noise, thereby ensuring safe travelling and long service life.
